Kraken 11U goes 1-1 in USSSA tourney

The Baystars Kraken 11U baseball team took part in the USSSA Fall Opener Tournament in Mechanicsville on Sunday. The Kraken came home with one win and one loss.

The Kraken started the day against Impact Sports National, losing 13-6. Kane Shager started the game on the mound for the Kraken, going two innings. Conner Lee and Wesley Falkenberg pitched in relief. Despite the loss, the Kraken performed well with seven hits, including two apiece from William Rousseau and Duke Hamm.

In game two, the Kraken were able to bounce back besting Ironbridge 11U Bendall, 9-3. Falkenberg was the starting pitcher allowing five hits, two runs and striking out four while walking one. Rousseau finished the game as relief. Shager, Benjamin Patterson and Callum Lenczewski each drove in runs in the second inning. Hamm and Falkenberg each had two hits in the game.
