Knights play Falcons

The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League faced off against the York-Seaford Falcons on Oct. 22.The Gloucester Red Mighty Mites defeated the Falcons, 18-0. Tyrell Daisy won the offensive MVP trophy with 97 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Durrall Daisy had 38 yards and scored one touchdown. Alijah Pluim won the offensive lineman of the game trophy.

The defense was led by Xavier Broughman with seven tackles and one sack. Jamari Wilson had four tackles, one sack and recovered a forced fumble; Tyrell had five tackles and recovered a fumble; Pluim had six tackles; Declan Schneider had four tackles; Ayden Harris had four tackles and won the defensive MVP trophy; and Caleb Beyer won the defensive lineman of the game trophy.

The Knights 12U team also won against the Falcons in a forfeit, because a player on the York-Seaford team was the wrong age. Lamont Frazier rushed for 60 yards, scored one touchdown, had 10 tackles and earned the MVP defensive player award. Evan McNulty rushe...
