Knights fall to Vikings

The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League had a tough weekend against the East End Vikings.

The Red Knight Mites fell to the Vikings, 36-0, during Saturday’s game. Gloucester’s defense was led by Keane Barnett who had seven tackles, followed by Robert Hayes Jr. and Hunter Bishop with three tackles each, and Luke Futch and Logan Leftwich with two tackles apiece.

The Red Mighty Mites also lost to the Vikings, 18-12. Durrall Daisy had five carries for 39 yards and also had two touchdowns. Tyrell Daisy also contributed four carries for 31 yards. Xavier Broughman had three carries for 11 yards and Gabe Wolford had three carries for nine yards.

Defensively, Brayden Mikkelson had six tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery. Broughman and Durrall each had six tackles, Tyrell had five tackles and one interception, Caleb Beyer had five tackles and a sack, Cam Pluim had four tackles and one pass break-up, Gabe Wolford, Jamari Wilson and Evan Davenport had four tackles each, Tommy ...
