The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights 6U team defeated the Williamsburg Hornets, 37-0, at home April 29.

The Knights’ defense was strong during the game with players Beckham Leftwich and Jackson Trexler guarding the line of scrimmage. The offense, led by quarterback Link England and center Allen Bishop, rushed for over 300 yards.

Easton Rasmussen started the game off with a 47-yard touchdown run on the opening play of the game and crossed the end zone twice more before the final whistle. Elias Beyer scored a touchdown and an extra point in the first quarter, adding another touchdown in the fourth quarter. Genesis Pluim scored a touchdown in the second quarter.

Cheer captains for the weekend were Zoey Velez, Saniah Ivey, Ari Burchett and Harper Arntz. Kenzie West and Abby Green were named most spirited and Milla Shenefield and Sophia Morrice had the best technique.
