Registration began last week for the Dragon Run’s Spring Paddle Season, which runs from April 15 through May 19. Join volunteers and a nature guide for three-hour kayak tours on the Dragon Run. The Friends of Dragon Run Nature Guide will describe the Dragon and its unique ecological and cultural significance. Guests will see the range of flora and fauna that make the Dragon the most ecologically significant watershed in Virginia. No prior paddle experience is required. Volunteers will assist guests as they paddle over beaver dams. Friends of Dragon Run provide all of the equipment needed for the trip. Each day, the Friends of the Dragon Run takes nine guests on the river. More information and registration are available at www.dragonrun.org. These trips are for those 18 and older. A $60 donation is requested at the time of registration.
