Joanne Bosta Jenkins, 67, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016. 

Joanne was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula.  She was a member of Living Waters Church and was active with the food ministries. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Joanne was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Jenkins. 

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George Calvin Jenkins Jr.; a daughter, Lorie Ann Shifflette (Donald), and a son, G. Calvin Jenkins III (Joleen); a sister, Paula Bell (Ed), and five grandchildren, Bobby Lee, Tabitha, Amy, Hunter and Taylor.

The family received friends from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. A funeral service was held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Duncan officiating. Burial followed in Parklawn Memorial Park.
