James was preceded in death by his parents, George David West and Lillian Mae West; his brothers, Ted West, Carol L. West, John E. West, William C. West, and his sisters, Mary Alice West, Sarah Jane Jenkins, Mammie L. Hall, Ida M. Cusatis, Ruby W. Tabor. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Lorene West of 39 years; his living brothers, Earnest D. West, Raymond J. West; his sons, James Lee West (Sharon), Calvin Wayne West (Shelley), and James Lawson West. James was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. James was a lifelong waterman and loved his family and friends. Viewing will be Feb. 12, 2022 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va.
