A Homestead Market and Community Yard Sale will take place at the old Page Middle School grounds off Route 17 in Gloucester from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The market will have live music, pony rides, pumpkins for sale and an educational stage for quick how-tos to get your homestead started, according to Tourism, Marketing and Events Manager Hunter LeClair.
“Curated artisan vendors selling homemade candles, sourdough and other baked goods, tinctures, and more” will be set up at the market, said LeClair. Along with the vendors, there will be a community yard-sale area for local sellers.
“When planning the Homestead Market, we focused on sustainable living and eco-friendly practices to reduce waste, with guidance from the Virginia Green program,” commented Sherry Kosakowski, Clean Community Coordinator. “The first 250 visitors to the Visit Gloucester tent can shop with reusable bags from AskHRgreen and Clean Community.
