The owners of the home care company Caring Hearts and Hands have expanded their business, opening a new location in Gloucester Court House under the name Home Care Associates.

Latasha Veney and her business partner Ebony Nickens are already operating the business from their office in the Village Trade Center, near the court circle.

Veney brings 15 years of experience as a CNA to the table, while Nickens will draw on her administrative background to complete her duties.

The duo employs other CNAs and nurses to administer care to their clients from Lancaster to Yorktown.

Staff provides private and personal care, including mobility assistance, companionship, medication reminders, day-to-day help with tasks like bathing and dressing, as well as other personal care and light housekeeping.

Nickens said their ultimate goal is “to make sure people get help to continue to do the things they used to be able to do on their own.” In addition to older clients, staff assist younger ...
