Ho Ho Bingo to be held Dec. 9

Mathews Triad’s annual holiday event for senior citizens, Ho Ho Bingo, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club at Hudgins.
The day will include plenty of fun, food, and prizes for those attending, beginning with a light breakfast of pastries and coffee and moving on to a lunch of Brunswick stew from Howard-Dooley’s, with homemade pound cake made by SALT Council members.
Prizes will be awarded to bingo winners throughout the games, said Triad president Alice Stewart, and Santa Claus will be on hand to bring Christmas cheer to one and all.
Registration is free for Mathews County seniors, and forms can be found in the Nov. 13 edition of the Gazette-Journal and the Triad newsletter.
Those who don’t have forms may register by calling Mathews Social Services at 804-725-7192 or the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office at 804-725-7177....
