Herb farm’s Saturday festival to benefit humane society

C.A. & J. Farm at Bohannon in Mathews will hold “Autumn’s Song … an Herb Farm Festival” on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Owners C.A. and Jean Howard are planning to host food, games, vendors, live music, demonstrations and more in a day designed as “full of simple fun.” 

The festival is planned as a benefit for the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, with the only cost of admission being a donation of money, or pet food, for the society.

Scheduled activities during the day include yoga at 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., blacksmithing at 11:30, a solar talk at 11:45, DJ Howl at noon, woodworking talk at 1:30 p.m., healing stones at 1:45 p.m., kombucha and water kefir tasting at 2 p.m., body system herbs at 2:30, kids’ drum circle at 3:15, and food by Good Life Kitchen from 11-4.

After the festival closes, part two begins: a fire and light show, community drum circle, and “no-mic” night from 5-7 o’clock. For more information,...
