Susan: Last Friday may be set down as the heaviest rainfall of the season, a complete washout in this part of the country. Some sort of a show was going on near Owens store on Thursday night, but after the Friday rain storm they struck tents and departed. —Leumas.

If Judge Mann has the support of the machine people, the temperance people and the liquor people as is charged by Mr. Tucker’s friends, how in the name of the seven blind goats of Goshen does Mr. Tucker expect to be elected?

Bena: Arrangements are being perfected to give the returning Gloucester soldiers a great welcome at Achilles on the 14th of July. A complete program of the events of the day will appear in the Gazette at an early date.
