Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy, LLC, Gloucester, has added several new practitioners and has begun offering new services geared to those aging in the community and seniors.

The business is also in the process of setting up a new membership program where special discounts will be given to clients who take advantage of various massage services on a regular basis.

Ginger Spencer, owner of Heart Felt Touch, said she recently received her Master Trainer certification for Compassionate Touch. She said this is form of massage therapy that is geared to those suffering from dementia.

Spencer said with this certification, she is able to provide staff training for those working in skilled nursing settings who deal with those with dementia or who are near the end of life. “It helps people with their behavior, aggressiveness, wandering, etc., and provides that connection that they need,” Spencer said.
