Harmful Waste Collection Day to be held April 18

Gloucester County will hold its Residential Household Harmful Waste Collection Day from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the Hayes Convenience Center located on Guinea Road. At this collection, Gloucester residents can dispose of the following: —Automobile hazardous waste (antifreeze, brake and transmission fluids, gasoline and batteries); —Painting supplies (paints, thinners, epoxy and wood preservatives); —Gardening/Outdoor supplies (pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, etc.); and, —Household items (small propane canisters and propane tanks for grills, fire extinguishers, toxic household cleaners, drain cleaners, mercury, batteries, electronics, etc.). This collection occurs biannually in April and October and is sponsored by Waste Management and Gloucester’s Clean Community Office.
