Gloucester County’s Residential Household Harmful Waste Collection Day will be held next Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Hayes Convenience Center, which is located on Guinea Road.
At this collection, Gloucester residents can dispose of the following:
—Automobile hazardous waste (antifreeze, brake and transmission fluids, gasoline and batteries);
—Painting supplies (paints, thinners, epoxy and wood preservatives);
—Gardening/outdoor supplies (pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, etc.); and
—Household items (small propane canisters, propane tanks for grills, fire extinguishers, toxic household cleaners, drain cleaners, mercury, batteries, electronics, etc.).
This collection happens every April and October and is sponsored by Waste Management and Gloucester Clean Community.
