Harmful waste collection April 18 at Hayes Convenience Center

Gloucester County will hold a collection of harmful waste from households from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Hayes Convenience Center on Guinea Road.County residents can dispose of the following: Automobile hazardous waste: antifreeze, brake and transmission fluids, gasoline, and batteries; Painting supplies: paints, thinners, epoxy, wood preservatives; Gardening/Outdoor supplies: pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, etc.; and, Household Items: small propane canisters and propane tanks for grills, fire extinguishers, toxic household cleaners, drain cleaners, mercury, batteries, electronics, etc. The next collection will be held in October.
