GVFRS appreciation dinner to be held Aug. 4

The Piankatank Community League has been thanking the men and women of Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc., for over 30 years for the service these dedicated volunteers provide to the community with biannual appreciation dinners, and the next such meal will be held on Monday, Aug. 4, at the PCL hall, 11888 Harcum Road.
All Harcum residents, and those in the county that have been assisted by the GVFRS are invited to participate.
Members and residents are asked to bring their favorite covered dish, or dessert, to the hall between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 4. “This has always been a fun event and if you can bring a food contribution and/or stay to help serve, clean up, or just socialize with your neighbors, the league and firemen would appreciate it,” a PCL release stated.
