The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society has joined NBCUniversal Local’s 11th annual Clear the Shelters pet adoption and donation campaign for the entire month of August.
“During Clear the Shelters month, we’e reducing pet adoption fees by 50 percent so adopters can spend more on supplies and care for their new best friend,” said GMHS CEO Tina Leone.
As part of their nationwide initiative, NBC and Telemundo stations partner with animal shelters and rescues in their communities to promote pet adoption and raise funds that support animal welfare.
Since its inception in 2015, Clear the Shelters has helped nearly 1.2 million pets find new homes and has raised more than $5 million for participating shelters and rescues.
