A Gloucester woman was found guilty Monday of involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence in connection with the death of a pedestrian in June 2012. Debora Sue Auman, 53, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Auman was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy southbound on Route 17 on June 7 when she struck 54-year-old Alvin Darnell Wilson, who was walking along the roadside. Wilson died at the scene. Auman, who was shaken but not injured, was given roadside sobriety tests and was transported to have her blood alcohol content measured after a state trooper detected the odor of alcohol, according to state police.

Testifying in Gloucester Circuit Court, Wilson’s brother, Waldron Wilson, said both he and his brother walked the same route daily from their home in the 5400 block of George Washington Memorial Highway south to the Wawa convenience store where they caught a ride to work.
