Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a spring break history camp for third through sixth graders on April 5-7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the Gloucester Museum of History. The group will visit the Mariners’ Museum, Colonial Williamsburg and the State Capitol. The registration fee is $75 and the deadline to register is March 29.
THE FULL HIKE: Today is the deadline to sign up for The Full Hike, which will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Beaverdam Park. Participants will meet at the main entrance (8687 Roaring Springs Road) at 9 a.m. They will be shuttled to the Farys Mill Road entrance where they will take the multi-use trail on a 9.5-mile hike back to the main entrance. This is a self-guided hike. Bring food and water and dress for the weather and wear rugged shoes. The fee is $5.
