Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism has a number of upcoming events scheduled.
MOTH-ERS NIGHT OUT: What happens in the woods after dark? Find out at MOTH-ers Night Out, presented by Middle Peninsula Master Naturalists in celebration of National Moth Week. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, the group is gathering at Beaverdam Park (Route 606 entrance) for nature walks, up-close insect observation, a moth talk, plus games and hands-on activities for all ages. This is a free event, but registration is required by Friday.
SUMMER CAMP: Gloucester PRT is sponsoring a Kid’s Camp version of the GLOutdoors challenge—GLOutdoors Summer Camp, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11-14 for ages 9-13. Campers will visit various locations across Gloucester County, engaging in activities to complete the official GLOutdoors Challenge. The fee is $85 and the deadline to register is Monday.
