Gloucester Library announces upcoming programs

Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center,will hold a five-part series on downsizing presented by the Memorie Group of Williamsburg beginning Tuesday. The series will be held on Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14 and May 12. Each session will begin at 11 a.m. Next Thursday, Jan. 15, join the library for a mystery book swap at 11 a.m. Bring a gently used mystery book to trade. Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies and enter a raffle for a chance to win a gift card to The Nook, a bookstore and gift shop on Gloucester’s Main Street. The library will also hold an American history lecture series, which will be presented by Rob Garnett. On Jan. 18 at 2 p.m., Garnett will discuss the life, death and legacy of his fourth great-grandfather, Corporal Robert Henry Gwynn of the 26th Virginia Infantry.
