The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to accept the findings of a compensation study performed by Bolton Rewards at its Tuesday night meeting held in the colonial courthouse. Changes are set to go in effect on Sept. 1. This will include adjusting overall compensation ranges by approximately 1.7 percent and will affect 159 positions.
According to a presentation delivered by Director of Human Resources Tami Nunn, the position groups affected will include general county employees (57 positions impacted), utilities (11 positions impacted), social services (15 positions impacted) and sheriff’s office sworn staff (76 positions impacted).
The cost to implement the compensation study results on Sept. 1 is $462,417. The board previously budgeted $690,000 in the FY26 budget to cover the cost of the compensation study pay adjustments.
“We certainly want to be competitive,” said Nunn. “That’s our goal.”
