The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ varsity volleyball teams had similar matches this week, both teams beating Kecoughtan and losing to Woodside this past week.
Both teams had successful matches against Kecoughtan at home last Thursday; the girls won, 3-0, and the boys succeeded, 3-1. The boys’ team had 19 aces and 17 kills during the match.
The teams suffered losses to Woodside during Tuesday’s away matches. The girls’ team lost the match in straight sets and the boys’ lost, 3-2.
The Lady Dukes will play Peninsula Catholic away on Monday.
