GHS to hold only one graduation ceremony

With new state COVID-19 guidelines set to take effect Friday, Gloucester High School is now planning to have just one commencement ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, in the GHS stadium. The rain dates are June 13 and 14.

Prior to the easing of restrictions, GHS had planned to split the Class of 2021 into two graduation ceremonies.Each GHS senior will be given 10 tickets for commencement guests. The seniors will receive their tickets during the graduation practice, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 11 in the stadium.

Seniors participating in commencement should park at Page Middle School by 8:15 a.m. on June 12. Buses will be provided to transport the seniors from Page to GHS. Individuals who need to utilize handicapped parking may park in the parent loop at GHS.

The governor’s policies regarding masks will be in effect for commencement guests.
