All post offices, courts, county offices, DMV customer service centers, and waste facilities in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed on Friday, July 4, for Independence Day.

Schools in both counties will be closed today and Friday, July 3 and 4.

Gloucester libraries will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, and remain closed on Friday, reopening for the weekend.

Mathews Memorial Library will be closed Friday through Sunday, July 4-6.

ABC stores in both counties will be open on the holiday, but will close early, at 6 p.m.
