GHS tennis tops Woodside, Warwick

The Gloucester High School boys’ tennis team won its away match, 7-0, against Woodside on Thursday, May 9.The match ended with a dominant win by second-seed Gloucester doubles partners Jackson Felder and Ian Walters. Gloucester’s singles players swept their matches, including #3 seed Dylan Whitacre, who won via a second-set tiebreaker. Fourth seed Ian Walters and #5 seed Trevor Scribbins won their matches convincingly.

Warwick

The boys returned to play on Monday, with a 7-2 win in their match against Warwick. It was also senior night, where seniors Eli Autry and Ethan Whitacre were recognized and celebrated at the conclusion of the match.Gloucester singles #2 Felder held on to win the first set, 7-5, and finished the match by winning the second set, 6-1. Warwick doubles players Justin Mau and Troy Randall won a competitive match against the #1 GHS doubles team of Ethan Whitacre and Scribbins.
