GHS harriers finish season at state meet

The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams finished their season at the Virginia High School League Class 5 State meet last Saturday at the Great Meadow course in The Plains. The boys finished with a team score of 227 and the girls finished with a 311.

Tanner Baker came in first place for the GHS boys and 19th overall with a time of 17:13. Tyler Hicks ran an 18:40, followed by Joel Junker (18:52), Rylan Allcorn (18:53), Joshua Pinder (18:59), Leo Berry (19:38) and Owen Hogge (19:39).

For the girls, Mya Baker finished first for Gloucester with a time of 21:18. Kaylee Hall ran a 23:58, followed by Cori Morgan (23:58), Samantha Jacobs (24:29), Mackenzie Alcorn (24:38) and Abigail Junker (24:52).
