The Gloucester High School varsity football team lost to the Yorktown Falcons, 21-6, during Friday night’s away game at Bailey Field. Preston Prentiss scored Gloucester’s lone touchdown on defense, running back an interception for the Dukes’ only points. Prentiss also completed one pass on offense for eight yards. Jayden Ganzenmuller was 4-for-7 in passing for 17 yards. M.J. Roberts provided much of the Dukes’ ground game, with 96 yards on 13 carries. Tyler Welch (four carries for five yards), Corey Skay and Xavier Johnson (each two yards on one carry) provided the rest of the rushing offense. Skay caught two passes for seven yards, while Gavyn Talbot (eight yards) and Maliq Jackson (three yards) had one reception each. Leading tacklers for Glou-cester were Prentiss and Welch. Prentiss ended the day with 12 tackles, while Welch had 10.
