The Gloucester High School field hockey program will host the 14th annual Dukes Jamboree on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The fee to attend is $5 for anyone 11 years or older.
According to coach Joe Dougherty, this is the largest Virginia High School League sanctioned field hockey event in the state. Thirty-two teams from 22 high schools will be attending.
The Lady Dukes varsity team will face Bayside from 11:30-11:55 a.m. and will play again from 12:30-12:55 p.m. against Princess Anne. Both games will be held on the stadium field.
For the GHS JV team, the Lady Dukes will play against Bruton from 10-10:25 a.m. and compete against Indian River from noon until 12:25 p.m. The JV girls will also play their matches on the stadium field.
