GHS boys’ soccer at 3-3; Dukes nab 13-1 win over Phoebus

The Gloucester High School varsity boys are even at 3-3 after a win and a loss in recent soccer action. The Dukes dominated their match with Phoebus and came away with a convincing 13-1 victory on March 28. Playing their rivals from Menchville last Thursday, the Dukes came up short in a close 2-1 match. The junior varsity Dukes helped to avenge that loss with a 4-0 shutout of the JV Monarchs. Andrew Coxe had two Gloucester goals in the win and goals came from Carson Brooks and Isaiah Lester. The varsity and junior varsity Dukes will have time to rest over the spring break and return to action Tuesday with the varsity hosting Heritage and the JV squad playing on the Hurricanes’ field....
