GHS boys come out on top at away meet

The Gloucester High School boys’ cross country team beat its opponents at the Gosnold Hope Park meet on Oct. 5. Team members competing included, front row from left, David Collawn, Dominic Turner, Tyson Ferrie, Brandon Carucci, Chandler Howlett, Josh Rodriguez-Cruz; back row, Erik Waters, Rylan Allcorn, Tyler Hicks, Ian Waters, Cayden Felder, Karl Dean, Owen Hogge, Ty Baker, Joel Taylor, Mike Asnicar, Ethan Gardiner, Joel Junker, Aiden Pincince and Clayton Miller.

The Gloucester High School boys’ cross country team defeated its opponents at Gosnold Hope Park last Wednesday, Oct. 5. The team faced Menchville, Woodside and Denbigh in the Peninsula District meet.

Rylan Allcorn finished first for GHS with a time of 16:56. Next for GHS was Joel Junker with a time of 17:47, followed by Ty Baker (JV) (18:19), Owen Hogge (18:31), Ethan Gardiner (18:32), Clayton Miller (18:37), Joel Taylor (JV) (19:08), Aiden Pincince (JV) (19:35), Karl Dean (19:49), Josh Rodriguez-Cruz (20:01), Ian Waters (20:27), Tyson Ferrie (20:34), Brandon Carucci (20:37), Cayden Felder (21:08), Dominic Turner (21:09), Mike Asnicar (21:13), Erik Waters (23:50) and David Collawn (JV) (25:35).

The boys won the meet with a team score of 17.

For the girls, Mya Baker finished first for Gloucester with a time of 19:36. Next for Gloucester was Mackenzie Alcorn (JV) with a finishing time of 23:03, followed by Hannah Broadwell (24:13), Casey Billings (24:40), Annalise Helton (25:06...
