GHP hopes to grow in 2020

{image_2} The Gloucester Housing Partnership held its board retreat on Jan. 30 at Your Pie off Fox Centre Parkway in Gloucester. The meeting was a way to gear up for 2020, and to plan a budget for the year.
The Gloucester Housing Partnership is a nonprofit organization that focuses on housing repair needs for the residents of Gloucester. The projects GHP takes on can vary from electrical repairs, to plumbing. According to the GHP, in 2019, roof repairs accounted for 22.5 percent of its budget, which was the most frequent kind of repair.
In 2019, the GHP had a budget of $122,800. In 2020, GHP wants to expand its budget so the organization can take on more projects, and provide a greater impact for the community. Currently, most of its revenue comes from grants. Donations are also a large source, but not nearly as substantial as grants. The goal is to find new paths for revenue, to become more self-sufficient.
