Future Problem Solvers

Students from Peasley Middle School attended last month’s statewide Future Problem Solvers competition at Granby High School. Eighth grader Allison Smith, photo at left, placed first in scenario writing and has also been invited to compete in internationals. Seventh graders Emmalyn Hemphill, Kaelyn Southworth, Sara Shao and Paula Ochoa-Zepeda placed second in skit performance. Frank Zoll, also in seventh grade, placed first in individual global issues problem solving and has earned an invite to participate in the international competition. Eighth graders Ashlee VanVranken, Tristan Buswell, Lexi Spangler and Catherine King placed third in skit performance and third in team global issues problem solving. Eighth grade students Madelyn Miller, Alexis Chattin and Walker Stippel placed second in team global issues problem solving and earned an honorable mention in skit performance.
