Friends of Library to meet Nov. 18

Friends of the Mathews Memorial Library will have its fall general meeting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Cooke Conference Room at Mathews Memorial Library.
The public is invited to attend the meeting for the annual update from the Friends of the Mathews Memorial Library Board of Directors, said a press release.
The featured presentation will be an overview of the Mathews County Virginia VA250 celebration by VA250 committee chair Fred Lyon.
Library director Bette Dillehay will give a report, and there will be reports on the Friends of the Library Year in Review and the bookstore. There will also be an election for the board of directors and officers.
“We look forward to seeing you as we gather to recognize another successful year of celebrating the benefits of literacy in our community,” said the release.
