Franklin Ray Haywood, 66, of Jacksonville, Florida, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020.

He was a native of Mathews County; graduated in 1972 from Mathews High School and in 1976 from the Apprentice School of Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. He retired as a networking engineer with the Jacksonville School System.

Survivors include his wife, Hilaria, and mother, Gloria Haywood of Mathews. His father, Frank Haywood, preceded him in death.
