The last few weeks have brought a flurry of citations for big fish to the hands of Gloucester and Mathews residents.William A. Horsley of Gloucester, received a release citation for a 51” red drum he caught Sept. 25 in Chesapeake Bay. He also received a citation for a 10-pound, 3 ounce sheepshead he caught Sept. 25, also in the bay.

Susanna Jones of Gloucester, received a citation for a 11-pound, 10 ounce sheepshead caught Sept. 25 in the bay, and a release citation for a 46-inch red drum caught Sept. 19 in the bay.

Gerald L. Morgan Jr. of New Point, received a release citation for a 24-inch speckled trout caught Sept. 18 in the bay.Big Spanish mackerel earned citations for the following: Robert L. Gary of Gloucester, a 7-pounder caught Sept. 19 while trolling in Piankatank River; Tyler Stone of Gloucester, 26” released fish caught Sept. 14 in the bay, and Michael McDonald, 26” fish weighing 4 pounds, 8 ounces in the bay.
