Irvington United Methodist Church is gearing up for its annual fundraiser, to be held on three Saturdays in the lead-up to Christmas. The first date for the 2025 Northern Neck Distinctive Bazaar is Oct. 4. The other two dates are Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.
Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 1 p.m. all three days. The Irvington Farmer’s Market will be open for October and November. The Steamboat Era Museum is open to the public for free on Farmer’s Market days.
This will be the 28th year for the bazaar. Those who attend the bazaar can buy gifts for family and friends, as well as baked goods, all while supporting the church missions. IUMC tithes on the earnings and gives to The Link in Kilmarnock and a scholarship of $1,000 to one Lancaster County senior. The Link helps Lancaster and Northumberland county families who need assistance with daily household needs. The remaining earnings go into the church’s general budget for use during the year for various other mission outreach projects.
