FedEx Office opens store in Gloucester

The area’s first local FedEx Office store opened on Oct. 9 inside the Walmart at Fox Mill Centre, Gloucester.

Business center manager Matt Scott said the store offers an assortment of services for individuals and businesses. As a division of FedEx, FedEx Office offers products and services to help customers get packages ready to be delivered throughout the U.S. and abroad.

FedEx Office, which resulted from FedEx’s purchase of Kinkos, uses bubble wrap and special crinkled paper as filler to safely ship items. The staff can prepare the items for shipping.

A large assortment of shipping boxes and tape is offered for sale along with related supplies. The boxes are collected on a regular schedule by FedEx trucks to get into its delivery stream.

Besides the pack and ship side of the business, Scott said, the local FedEx Office offers copier services for small and large orders and has three different sizes of copies. Graphic and facsimile services are also offered. Another ser...
