The Fairfield Foundation’s 25th annual Historic House Party will be held this year at the Hockley estate on the Ware River in Gloucester from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The party will support the foundation’s hands-on history with food, music, and updates on the organization’s archaeology and preservation projects across the Middle Peninsula.
The Fairfield Foundation is celebrating a quarter century of inspiring students and local communities through archaeology and historic preservation and promises “our biggest and most memorable House Party yet,” a release stated.
The 19th-century home, with its sweeping river views, historic outbuildings, and archaeological legacy, will set the stage for an evening of food, friendship and celebration. The evening will include beer and wine, as well as catering from Gumbeau’s, featuring favorites such as jambalaya, grilled oysters, oysters Rockefeller, grilled tri-tip, and more.
