LIBRARY BOARD: The Mathews Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 this morning, Thursday, Sept. 4, in the historic courthouse on Court Street. A special executive session will be called for discussion of the performance of an appointee/employee of the board of trustees.
CLEAN AND GREEN: The Gloucester Clean and Green Advisory Committee will meet at 5 o’clock tonight, Thursday, Sept. 4, in the Stewart Building conference room, 6382 Main Street, Gloucester.

QUILT EXHIBIT: “The Art of the Quilt,” an exhibition of quilts and other items by the Bay Quilters, will be on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Mathews Museum, 200 Main Street, Mathews. The exhibit will remain at the museum throughout September.
