THURSDAY
KING’S DAUGHTERS AND SONS: The Chesapeake Bay Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons will meet at noon today in the fellowship hall of New Point Friends Church. Amy Ashberry will be the guest speaker.
AUTHOR TALK: Historian Jon Kukla will deliver a lecture titled “Patrick Henry: Champion of Liberty” at 7 o’clock tonight, Thursday, July 24, at Mathews Memorial Library, 251 Main Street, Mathews.
FRIDAY
STUDENT ART: A reception for An Artist’s Journey: Student Art Show will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, 279 Main Street, Mathews. The reception is free and open to the public.
OYSTER TOURS: Tours of the oyster hatchery and oyster tastings will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Oyster Seed Holdings, 425 Callis Wharf Road, Grimstead.
