THURSDAY
KING’S DAUGHTERS: Chesapeake Bay Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, in the fellowship hall of Westville Baptist Church, Mathews.
PLANNERS: The Gloucester County Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 this evening, Thursday, Dec. 11, in the Thomas Walker Calhoun Education Center auditorium, 6099 T.C. Walker Road, Gloucester.
FRIDAY
IN A TWINKLING: Mathews Memorial Library will have a Create a Stocking contest for youth and teens at 3:15 Friday at the library on Main Street. Prizes will be awarded.
NIGHT MARKET: The Mathews Main Street Night Market and Tree Lighting will be held Friday on Main Street and Church Street. Shops are open until 7 p.m., with holiday refreshments, carolers, a family scavenger hunt, visits with Santa Claus, and lighting of the community Christmas tree.
PUMP ORGAN CAROLS: The Mathews Museum will have a Christmas Carol Sing-Along with pump organ accompaniment from 6-6:30 p.m. Friday at 200 Main Street, Mathews.
