The blockaded Strait of Hormuz, sharply higher gasoline prices, and the general onset of nerves pervading the world, have brought back to the surface one of our favorite perennial editorial topics: Clean, renewable energy. For some reason there is hostility in our nation toward solar and wind power, solar farms, and now, battery storage facilities. If indeed these are dangerous or inefficient (we are dubious of that assertion), science will figure out a way to make them safe. In spite of the detractors, some Americans think these energy creators to be beautiful. And they are far, far from the only ways that clean energy can be placed or produced.
