Dukes shut out ’Canes in soccer

The Gloucester varsity soccer teams traveled to Heritage High School Tuesday night to face the Hurricanes. The boys took down the ’Canes in dominant fashion, shutting them out, 10-0. The girls had a similar performance, beating the ’Canes, 13-0.
For the boys, A.J. Goller led the team in scoring with two goals. Sam Cook, Liam Wamsley, Keegan Winter, Dylan Heron, Alex Hogge, Nick Lacoste and Johny Howerton all found their way onto the score sheet. Kaden Williams, Carter Records, Winter and Heron all recorded an assist each.
The Dukes will look to continue in their winning ways as they take on Poquoson Thursday night. Varsity and JV boys will play at home while the girls’ teams will hit the road.
