The sounds of crashing pads and blown whistles filled the practice fields of Gloucester High School on Friday as the Dukes football team hosted scrimmages between Landstown High School of Virginia Beach and Manor High School of Portsmouth. The Dukes will hold another scrimmage against Warhill tonight before the season starts on Saturday, Aug. 27, as the varsity team travels to Hampton. The JV team will host the Hampton Crabbers on the following Monday.
