Dukes beat Pointers, Raiders

The Gloucester Dukes varsity boys’ soccer team nabbed two wins in the past week, beating West Point 5-1 on Friday and Warwick 1-0 on Tuesday.

Against West Point, Kohlby Wilson put the first points up on the scoreboard via a penalty kick in the first half. West Point responded with a goal of their own but K.J. Wolford took the lead back by scoring on a free kick.

In the second half, the Dukes took control of the game scoring three unanswered goals. Gavin Blanks scored off an assist from Wolford. Wilson scored his second goal of the game and Ashton Williams scored the last of Gloucester’s points in the game.

Against Warwick, the Dukes handed the visiting team its first division loss of the season, said head coach Peter Lebel. After a scoreless first half it was Wilson who got the Dukes on the board.
