Mark Rinaldi of the Bush Company in Williamsburg made a presentation to the Mathews County Planning Commission last Wednesday on a condominium development the company is planning to build near Hyco Corner in downtown Mathews.
The company is working with county, state and federal officials to have the site plan approved for Westville Landing, which is currently designed to have 66 residential units in the form of single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes. Rinaldi said the 12.8-acre development was the first one in the state to be reviewed by the Department of Environmental Quality in Richmond under the new stormwater management regulations and that the cost of the homes will be a bit higher because of the revised regulations.
