Deltas solidify division lead

The Deltaville Deltas offense stayed hot last weekend, scoring 29 runs across a pair of victories over the Richmond Trash Pandas and the Tappahannock Tides.

With the wins, Deltaville moves to 6-2 on the season, holding a 1½-game lead over the Richmond River Dogs in the Richmond NABA East Division, while sitting a game back of the West Division leaders, the 5-1 Richmond Brewers.Deltaville returns to home action Saturday night for the Deltas’ annual Independence Day celebration game. Once again, the Chesapeake Sharks of the Hampton Roads NABA will return to the ballpark for a 7:30 p.m. game. The home matchup is sandwiched between two road games, with the Deltas travelling to Richmond to take on the Trash Pandas Wednesday, June 29, and the Richmond El Heaters on Tuesday, July 5.
