DEANNA CHRISTY HAYWOOD

Deanna Christy Haywood, age 19, of Mathews, left her earthly home April 20, 2013. She was met in heaven by her brother, Dustin Craig Stilwell, and great-grandparents, Snooks and Ellen Burroughs, and Bernard and Rita Cannon.

Deanna left behind in sadness her mother, Ann Marie Haywood; grandparents, Henry Burroughs, Ruth Ann and Michael Hutson; brothers Dustin Taylor, Drake Stilwell Haywood, David Blodgett; sister, Heather Husi; uncle, Kenneth Burroughs; her special family, Carlton Haywood, Anita, Shanen and Scott Cecil; boyfriend, Nick Woodard.

Deanna was a senior at Mathews High school where she was preparing for graduation and a new journey in life and was to return to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to continue her work at Food Lion and pursue college. Deanna has been employed at Food Lion (Mathews and Kill Devil Hills) for four years where she was quick to greet customers with a smile and a hug.

Deanna was a member of Central United Methodist Church and involved in multiple charities, her favored being Relay for Life. Deanna participated in the Missoula Children’s Theater, Drama and One Act Play in Mathews since she was a small child. She was a member of Outer Banks Bootcamps where she always had words of encouragement for her fellow teammates even when the task was hard for her. She will be missed by all.

As a family we ask that in memory of Deanna that you always wear your seat belt and hug someone today.

The family received friends Monday, April 22, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in the St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan.
